Dana White with Strong Take on Next Generation šŸ‘€

Is he correct?

In partnership with

Iā€™ve spoken about my relationship with Dana White quite a bit in this newsletter.

Itā€™s probably a little annoying at this point.

But for the newcomers, I ran a podcast a few years back and long story short built up a strong enough relationship with the UFC President where he invited me out to Las Vegas to do an interview.

One of the coolest days of my life.

Post Interview Love with The Boss Man

But one of his answers stuck out more than the rest.

Three years ago, one of the most viral clips of any podcast Iā€™ve ever seen came out of the very last question I asked him. And I mean every single account was reposting it and has 100 million+ views across all accounts.

But the question was very simpleā€¦

ā€œWhat advice would you give to the next generation?ā€

Well, Mr. Dana dropped this bomb:

@dannyhealey

After my interview with Dana White, this clip took a life of its own reaching over 100m in total views. And heā€™s SPOT ON with the message!... See more

I highly suggest you click the link and watch the clip because itā€™s the delivery from Dana that really gets you going.

But those that donā€™t want to watch a TikTok video, I will type out for you:

ā€œIf youā€™re a f******* savage and you get out there and you want it bad enough, you can run all these guys over, man. And this whole Covid thing, people donā€™t want to go back to work and they wanna stay home and all this bulls***, man. You canā€™t build a real business with people staying at home. You need that connection. You need to be in the office with your like minded group of people. And you need to be brainstorming and working and coming up with ideas to take the company furtherā€¦

And this next generation is just such a f****** group of p*******, man.

For the small group of savages out there. Run these f***** kids over, man. Run them all over.ā€

Dana White

Was Dana right about us? I think so.

I had lunch with my good friend Todd Simon last and he brought up this same concept.

Todd is building a beer company from scratch. Needless to say, itā€™s an absolute grind.

But day-by-day Todd is out there knocking on doors selling beer (a damn good beer too, no free plugs in this newsletter but if you live in Mass or Rhode Island go buy Hero95 Beer).

He told me he feels like the next generation is lazy and they want everything to be handed to them.

I was like damn, Todd mustā€™ve gotten hit with my Dana clip on the explore by some account that ripped it off my YouTube channel!

I do agree with Dana and Todd, though.

I am 28 years old, born in 1996 and the last year of the Millennial age group. So, Iā€™m not technically a Gen Z but feels close enough!

TRIGGER WARNING YOUNG PEEPS: In the Gen Z world, you really donā€™t see people working their asses as often as youā€™d like to hope to accomplish their goals. And thatā€™s what it takes. I am not saying all of them, cause I know a lot of people who have impressive work ethics.

But the largest population of the Gen Zā€™ers just doesnā€™t seem to have that ā€œIt Factorā€. Hey, maybe Millennials should be thrown in there too!

I have zero math behind this statement, but itā€™s just something I do recognize and agree with from my experiences.

Biggest lesson Iā€™ve learned from my dad was the 30-year grind it took him to build his company.

Nothing happens overnight, and if it does, your 5 minutes of fame is probably going to fade, plus most people donā€™t take advantage of that moment.

Unless, of course, you are Hawk Tuaā€¦

But her rug-pull scheme on her meme coin has her pretty completely fallen off.

Just listen to Dana.

Want to be successful?

And ā€œsuccessā€ doesnā€™t have to mean $50 milly in the bank.

You can define success at whatever level feels comfortable.

But to accomplish that goal.

WORK HARD.

If you do, youā€™ll run over the competition.

If you donā€™t, youā€™ll fall short.

I love you all, and hope Dana can motivate you a bit today.
