“Do Your Job” was a saying Bill Belichick made famous during the latter half of his 20-year run leading the Patriots dynasty, which went to 9 Super Bowls and won 6 of them BTW.

No, this newsletter is not going to be a piece about how dumb and ridiculous it is that Bill wasn’t voted in as a first ballot Hall of Famer. To do that you need 40 of 50 votes to get in. The fact that he didn’t have 51 votes is an utter disgrace to the game of football. If he doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame, no football coach in the history of the game deserves it.

Ok, Belichick GOAT rant over and back to today’s message.

DO YOUR JOB.

Very simple instruction.

It’s a message that encourages you to be selfless. Act in a “team” to accomplish the greater goal.

Those are in the instructions I took to heart when I boarded that plane to Denver, Colorado to attend the Patriots AFC Championship game this past weekend.

I had ONE JOB. Get my football team to the Super Bowl.

It was all business from the moment I left the plane:

I had never been to Mile High Stadium before.

So, it was important to plan my attack a few days prior to game day. I had a fantastic bird’s eye view of the battlegrounds from my hotel. Strategically booked room, of course.

After landing late Friday night, we spent the next day wearing our Pats gear around Denver. There was an event that evening at a bar that the Patriots team put on and BOY did fans show out. Look how many freakin’ people are in this room (this is just one level).

Former Patriots legend, co-host of The Quick Snap and my good friend David Andrews went tarps up off and picked up a shirtless 5th grader like a toy.

We had quite the Saturday. I was doing my job of building the hype within Pats Nation prior to the game.

One more sleep until gameday. I couldn’t wait.

On Sunday, 1/25/2025, I performed the greatest cinema I have ever created via an iPhone, which eventually led to our Patriots AFC Championship victory.

“Hells Bells” is the greatest pump-up song maybe ever.

Game day ensued. It first started with combatting Broncos fans at the bar next to the stadium with “Go Pats” friendly cheers.

Then we marched right into Mile High. And man, that was by far the loudest football stadium I have been a part of. I gotta hand the Bronco faithful that. It was loud.

BUT when the Broncos took the ball on offense and the entire stadium was silent, I made sure I gave it all I had screaming my god damn face off.

Were the fans around me happy? No. And it was perfect.

In what felt like a 28-degree day at the beach pregame walking to our seats, it turned into one of the craziest snow blizzards the NFL Playoffs have ever seen. I loved every second of it.

I won’t break down every play of the game, but safe to say I did my job because I ended the game like this

Just like my man David at the pep rally, tarps off for the win.

This came after the Christian Gonzalez game-sealing INT. Thank you, Gonzo.

And you’re welcome, Pats Nation, for doing my job.

The Patriots are headed to the 10th Super Bowl of my lifetime. HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH that’s insane.

WE ARE SOOOOO BACK BABY.

Waving goodbye to Denver fans was my favorite part of the day.

People are always like “ohhh, Danny you’re an idiot and you’re not actually a part of the team. You’re a loser!”.

Well, you’re wrong. I am a part of the team.

Couple weeks back, I got called out by the guys at 98.5 The Sport Hub, the biggest sports radio network in Boston, for saying “we” when referring the “the Patriots”.

As a fan, I will do that until the day I die. I have earned the right.

Here is the back-and-forth of me calling into the show to defend myself.

So, today’s newsletter isn’t only a message that the Patriots are the greatest sports franchise to ever exist in sports, but a simple reminder to DO YOUR JOB.

If your job is to scream in away stadium breathless a mile above sea-level while the home team is on offense, you do your job.

We have one more JOB in this mission.

BEAT SEATTLE.

We all we got. We all we need.

I am headed to SF next week (reply if you’re out there wanna meet up!) and I will finish the job Sunday evening.

P.S.

Shoutout my camera girl Johanna, she did her job.

Oh, and thank you Drake Maye.
