šŸ’¤ Sweet Dreams

The power of a solid snooze....

In partnership with

Letā€™s talk about sleep, baby. Letā€™s talk about sleeeepin in! Letā€™s talk about sleeeeep.

Apologies. Woke up feeling like lyrical genius but after re-reading my work I have quickly realized I am not that.

I shouldā€™ve just ChatGPTed something that would hit better.

Anyways, sleep is dope, and you should take it very seriously.

I am less of a doctor than I am a lyrical genius but what I do know is that sleep is good for you.

I donā€™t wear an Apple Watch or any wearable tech to track my sleep cycles, I go old school.

Itā€™s pretty obvious when I have a solid snooze vs. bad one. I either feel great or feel like s***. And I like feeling great.

Back in the heyday of writing and operating the Morning Blitz, bedtime was past 1am almost every night. Those led to some extremely unproductive times when I had to get up any time before 9am the next morning.

Donā€™t even get me started on the days playing lacrosse at Colgate when we had 5am practice.

I used to say, ā€œYou can sleep when youā€™re deadā€, but not realizing the less sleep I get the faster I will be dead.

Hereā€™s a few actually scientific articles on the importance of sleep if curious:

On the topic of sleeping better.

I am big 8 hours guy. Lights out at 11:30pm, alarm at 7:30am. Start the day.

My girlfriend introduced me to idea of a noise machine. And now I have been addicted to white noise for the last few years.

I have a giant one on my night table next to my bed.

Secondly, an eye mask.

Yes, I look like a princess as I fall asleep every night.

My girlfriendā€™s full-sized bed is not a recipe for a good night sleep thoughā€¦

One of my buddies the Boston area, Cole Kissick, actually started a business, Dream Recovery, that sells the best eye mask that has ever graced my eye lids. Check them out here and use code DANNY15 for 15% off your eye mask today. They will not disappoint.

Lastly, blackout shades.

Not a must with the eye mask on but if you really wanna be a diva sleeper queen, get ā€˜em!

Thereā€™s also this below product. Hereā€™s an advertisement that is on brand with todayā€™s topic and a sleep product I am actually going to try.

Feel like you should tooā€¦ give it a click at least šŸ‘‡

Hereā€™s some VERY EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes knowledge on these weekly emails I write.

I write them on Beehiiv, which is a new ā€œemail service providerā€, that is really built to help people like me grow, operate and monetize a newsletter. Maybe I shouldā€™ve joined their partner referral program before promoting the platform to earn some more coin. But whatever, great product, they deserve their flowers.

Beehiiv curates brand deals for you.

Itā€™s so easy, they send you an email and say, ā€œHey dude, BetterSleep wants to sponsor your publicationā€.

The payout is often cost per click. So, like for this ad, I get $1.00 for every click on that link.

About 3,000 people read this Diary (share it with friends plz) and I get about ~25 clicks per newsletter. Not a math guy, but yeah you guys help pay for like a takeout dinner salad and Gatorade once a week. I absolutely appreciate you for that, not kidding. Thank you.

But yeah, Beehiiv saves you from having to do personal brand outreach, sales conversations, asset creation, execution of ads, calendar of ads, and campaign reporting.

Trust me, that world is heavy. And not worth it for a newsletter product my size.

So, the ā€œHiivā€ as the cool kids say, makes it very easy on you.

Hope that little bit of insight was fun and makes you click ads more often!!

You are reading this on LinkedIn at the moment and not via email. If you want to get this weekly Diary in your email inbox, just sign-up here.

Thatā€™s all I got today, folks.

This is just a motherly reminder that you should try to sleep better more often.

Could change your life and make you a better employee, husband, gambler, fantasy football manager or whatever it is you are trying to dominate.

Sweet dreams.
