Hello world!!

Ha, JK only 0.000025% of the world’s population reads this weekly blog. Still kinda seems like a lot. Good for me.

If you’re new here, we like to get together on a weekly basis and chop it up with very, very random topics.

Sometimes I’m preachy and give life advice (I am a qualified therapist, took an intro to philosophy class in college).

Sometimes I tell stories about my journey in sports media.

Sometimes I talk about what it was like growing up in Boston during the peak of winning championships.

Today’s newsletter is a complete mess of all three.

Patience is Virtue

I’ve had a very cool week so far. It hasn’t felt like I’ve been working (even though I am extremely tired and would do anything for a lil cat nap), felt like I’ve be L-I-V-I-N livin!

Yesterday, the Patriots Podcast that I produce, The Quick Snap, launched an episode that was a Roast of Julian Edelman and Gronk’s new podcast called “Dudes on Dudes”. They put out this clip talking about former Pats teammates doing things in media and poked some fun (skip to 5 min mark for The Quick Snap part)…

So, we decided to grab the Patriots legends they chirped and host a “roast” making fun of Jules and Gronk on our own airwaves. Devin McCourty, Rob Ninkovich and James White joined hosts David Andrews and Brian Hoyer for a hilarious episode.

Ok, sports media job talk ✅

It was absolutely hilarious, especially if you’re a Pats fan.

We recorded early Monday AM. I mean talk about starting the week off right.

Was another “pinch me” moment sitting their producing that show with all the DUDES I used to look up to while growing up.

And I just thought, I am very lucky to be in position I am in, but that took time and hustle.

Took time finding my passion.

Took time finding the right people to work with.

I’ve probably preached about this in some way or the other before in a previous story but seriously…

All good things take time.

If you’re frustrated with where you’re at, just sit tight. Keep f******* grinding and good things will come.

Bang alright, all three components of a Danny’s Diary have been hit. Imma get out here and get some sleep.

Oh, one last thing… New York sports franchises are a JOKE.

Yankees…. HAHAHA

Mets… honestly felt bad for you guys.

Jets… I mean does it get worse than being a Jets fan? How do you let this Patriots team beat you???

Giants… yeah just STFU those Super Bowls were over a decade again. Daniel Jones seems like the future though, glad you got your guy… HA!

Knicks… made you look horrible on opening night, sorry.

Nets… irrelevant and always will be.
